BJ was sent by God to Patricia and William Maness, Sr. on December 10, 1977. He has two brothers, Josh and Tim. In June 1995, God sent him the gift of a beautiful daughter, Caitlyn ("princess") and then in February 1998, a wonderful son, Ryan ("little man").
BJ loved basketball, music and art. He wrote beautiful poetry. He treasured his family.
